Conditions We Treat:
We evaluate and manage a wide spectrum of kidney disorders.
Our focus is on early detection, prevention, and long-term protection of kidney function, with care tailored to each patient’s unique situation.
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD, non-dialysis)
- CKD means the kidneys are damaged or not filtering efficiently over time.
- Early stages often have no symptoms and are found on labs (creatinine, eGFR, urine albumin).
- Our goals: slow progression, control blood pressure, reduce albuminuria, protect heart health, and keep you feeling well.
Diabetic Kidney Disease
- Diabetes is a leading cause of kidney damage.
- We combine glucose and blood pressure control with kidney-protective medications and practical nutrition to reduce risk and preserve kidney function.
Electrolyte & Acid-Base Disorders
- We diagnose and treat imbalances in sodium, potassium, calcium, bicarbonate and acid-base status that can cause weakness, cramps, confusion, or heart rhythm issues—while addressing the underlying cause.
Post-Acute Kidney Injury (Post-AKI)
- After a hospitalization or acute illness, kidney function may be reduced.
- We monitor recovery, adjust medications, optimize hydration, and guide you to prevent further injury.
Glomerulonephritis / Nephrotic Syndrome
- Immune-related kidney conditions can cause protein leakage and swelling.
- We coordinate the diagnostic work-up (including labs, imaging, and biopsy when needed) and create a plan to control inflammation and protect kidney function.
Reno-vascular Disease
- Narrowing of the kidney arteries can drive resistant hypertension and reduced kidney function.
- We provide evaluation, medical therapy, and coordinate with vascular specialists when appropriate.
Kidney-Related Complications in Heart Failure
- Heart and kidneys are connected.
- We manage fluid balance, blood pressure, and medication safety to protect both heart and kidney health, in close coordination with your cardiologist.
Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)
- PKD is a genetic condition that causes kidney cysts.
- We offer long-term monitoring, genetic testing and counseling when appropriate, and individualized treatment to slow progression and manage symptoms.
Other Cystic Kidney Diseases
- Beyond PKD, patients may develop simple cysts, medullary sponge kidney, or other less common cystic conditions.
- We evaluate these with imaging, monitor for changes, and create a plan to reduce complications such as pain, infections, or stones.
Genetic Kidney Disorders (including Alport Syndrome)
- Some kidney diseases are inherited.
- Conditions such as Alport syndrome, Fabry disease, and other genetic disorders require early recognition and specialized care.
- We provide genetic counseling referrals when needed and coordinate multidisciplinary management to protect both kidney and overall health.
Nephrolithiasis (Kidney Stones)
- Stones are painful and often recur.
- We provide stone-risk evaluation (including 24 to 48-hour urine testing), personalized kidney stone prevention (hydration, diet, and medications when needed), and close coordination with urology for procedures.
We do not offer dialysis in clinic. We focus on non-dialysis kidney care and coordinate smooth referrals if dialysis is ever needed.
